Our Trainings
-
Beyond Awareness will deepen your understanding of neurodiversity, covering key terms and related factors like neurotypes, sensory processing, executive functioning, and trauma. You will gain practical tools, resources, and strategies to address accessibility and workplace challenges.
Through interactive activities and discussions, this training fosters workplace inclusion and leads to increased employee engagement, satisfaction, retention - and ultimately - an overall improved functional work environment.
-
Reframing Behaviors touches on the many factors that impact behavior: sensory processing, trauma, environment, activity, expectations, and personal needs. We will discuss co-regulation, developing self-awareness, and implementing strategies for problem-solving behaviors. Learn how to optimally engage in the therapeutic use of self and co-regulation, as these are the foundations for connecting with a child.
This training runs 8-10 hours and can be condensed by request and/or offered in multiple sessions.
-
Understanding Sensory Processing and Regulation will provide a basic understanding of sensory processing and other personal factors that impact our behavior and regulation. You will also learn simple strategies to support connection, regulation, and participation.
-
Regulation Stations starts with a discussion of various factors that impact one’s regulation. We will explain how to use resources as you explore each station, which feature a variety of tools and strategies for hands-on learning.
-
4 Areas to Support Connection & Regulation examines four key areas where we can support, modify, and adapt, allowing for inclusion in our chosen activities.
As a group, we will tap into different supports and strategies that have worked for ourselves and/or our children in each of these categories. We will then apply this framework to approaching professionals in various environments.
-
Sensory Tools from Common Household Items offers a basic understanding of sensory processing, interoception, and regulation. We will provide education on various sensory tools, explore hands-on stations, and make our own sensory tools.
