Volunteer with Roots and Wings
For Occupational therapists, Occupational therapy assistants, students, and anyone interested in making a difference regardless of professional background or experience!Due to HIPPA regulations, we are unable to accomodate shadowing during individual OT sessions.
Instead, our volunteers gain hands-on experience through our seasonal neuro-affirming nature camps, collaborative projects, administrative tasks, and other opportunities to support our mission.

❋ review and reflectThe state requires our volunteers and staff to complete a background check before their first day. Roots and Wings will reimburse any fingerprinting costs.
❋ background checkVolunteers must watch a two-hour recorded training designed to build familiarity with our neuro-affirming approach to occupational therapy and related services.
